Transparency and reporting

You have access to regular reports on your assets with regard to CO2e intensity, the achievement of the Paris climate target, the proportion of controversies in the portfolio and the contribution towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We report this assessment transparently at the fund level.

Everything at a glance with sustainability reporting

With sustainability reporting for our Responsible and Sustainable funds with traditional investments, you can see at a glance how sustainable your investments really are in comparison with the benchmark index. The report reflects the criteria used in our investment process and allows you to gain a deeper insight into the sustainability performance of your investment product.

Swisscanto sustainability rating

Our sustainability rating assesses the sustainability performance of your fund according to the following four basic elements:

Controversy score

Controversial business, questionable practices, violation of standards of conduct

ESG score

How sustainably is the country or the company managed?

Climate score

How much does the country or the company pollute the environment with its CO2e emissions?

SDG score

Does the country or the company contribute towards achieving the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals?

The four indicators are each weighted at 25%. The result of the assessment is the Swisscanto sustainability rating. The rating is comparable to the energy label: from A (high) to G (low).

Why do we have our own sustainability assessment?

We have developed the Swisscanto sustainability rating to reflect important sustainability aspects such as the contribution of products or services to environmental and social challenges as well as controversial business practices and fields.

The Swisscanto sustainability rating thus enables a more comprehensive sustainability assessment of our sustainable investment solutions.

Transparency with our sustainability reporting

Since we are convinced that reporting is important for our investors, we introduced sustainability reporting for our Responsible and Sustainable investment solutions with traditional investments at the beginning of 2021. We update the reports on all sustainability dimensions on a quarterly basis.

Swisscanto Sustainability Rating

See at a glance how sustainable your investment is, based on the rating from A to G. We assess companies and states according to our four sustainability indicators: controversy score, ESG score, climate score and SDG score.

CO2e intensity

With our sustainability reporting, we show the CO2e intensity of our sustainable investment funds with traditional investments as well as the benchmarks, and compare them. CO2e or CO2 equivalents make greenhouse gases comparable.

Controversies

We list the key controversial business areas and practices, and compare the proportion in the portfolios with benchmarks.
